No power cuts were implemented on Wednesday, which was a holiday in Sri Lanka.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm742kkri00013b6mhdv002zs@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            The animal had come into contact with the transformer at the station, disrupting supply to the entire country. There were no immediate details on whether the monkey survived the incident.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm742l5ho000c3b6mzfwe5hi1@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            One-hour power cuts will be implemented from 6 p.m. (12:30 GMT), the island\u2019s state-run power monopoly, the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), said in a statement.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm742l5ho000d3b6mvxkofzv4@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            Sunday\u2019s disruption also affected the island\u2019s only 900 MW coal fired power plant, causing it to operate in safe mode, the CEB said.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm742l4rp000a3b6mq09cqd0s@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            \u201cAll efforts are being made to restore the grid to full capacity but power cuts will be implemented to manage peak demand hours in the night,\u201d the CEB statement added.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm742lbs8000i3b6mg1owvme2@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            Ninety-minute power cuts were implemented on Monday and Tuesday to manage demand.
