The rescue operation is still ongoing \u2026,\u201d the authority said on its X account.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph-primary-core-light\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/clzo8wvg400053b5vfkx17t8o@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            The landfill, known as Kiteezi, has served as Kampala\u2019s sole garbage dump for decades and had turned into a big hill.
