{"id":6692,"date":"2024-08-15T15:14:21","date_gmt":"2024-08-15T15:14:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailywashingtoninsider.com\/index.php\/2024\/08\/15\/wizz-air-launches-550-all-you-can-fly-annual-subscription-pass\/"},"modified":"2024-08-15T15:14:21","modified_gmt":"2024-08-15T15:14:21","slug":"wizz-air-launches-550-all-you-can-fly-annual-subscription-pass","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailywashingtoninsider.com\/index.php\/2024\/08\/15\/wizz-air-launches-550-all-you-can-fly-annual-subscription-pass\/","title":{"rendered":"Wizz Air launches $550 \u2018all you can fly\u2019 annual subscription pass"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=''>LONDON \u2014 Travelers in Europe can now take unlimited flights for 499 euros ($550) a year under a new travel subscription service from budget carrier&nbsp;Wizz Air.<\/p>\n<p class=''>The annual \u201call you can fly\u201d pass, which allows passengers to book one-way and roundtrip flights throughout the year, will be available for the introductory fee until Friday before the price rises to 599 euros.<\/p>\n<div id='taboolaReadMoreBelow'><\/div>\n<p class=''>Details on the airline\u2019s&nbsp;website&nbsp;show passengers can book flights with \u201cno limits\u201d to any of its international destinations \u2014 including Athens, Greece, Madrid, Paris and Reykjavik, Iceland \u2014 up to three days before departure, with the booking window opening in September.<\/p>\n<p class=''>Each booking is subject to an additional flat fee of 9.99 euros and luggage beyond one personal item will be charged as extra.<\/p>\n<p class=''>The airline said it initially plans to release 10,000 \u201call you can fly\u201d memberships, while FAQs on its website note that seats will be subject to availability, depending on \u201cseveral external and internal factors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=''>The launch follows similar subscription packages by U.S. carriers, such as Frontier Airlines, which last year&nbsp;announced&nbsp;a $599 unlimited Go Wild! pass for its North America routes.<\/p>\n<p class=''>However, while some European carriers offer multiflight bundles for a set fee, unlimited packages remain a novel concept on the Continent.<\/p>\n<p class=''>It comes as Wizz Air has seen its<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>profits deteriorate and customer satisfaction wane amid wider pressure on the sector following the post-pandemic travel boom.<\/p>\n<p class=''>Earlier this month, the Hungarian airline reported a 44% drop in its first-quarter operating profit.
