Many returned to Acre, on the border with Peru, as US border policies triggered a&nbsp;wait-and-see attitude among them.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph-primary-core-light\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm04h0hl300093b6kob27b2rk@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            Brazil\u2019s justice ministry said that the new guidelines will not apply to 484 migrants currently staying at Sao Paulo\u2019s international airport.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph-primary-core-light\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm04h0hl3000a3b6kcxv5u76i@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            Earlier on Wednesday, Brazil\u2019s federal prosecutors\u2019 office said in a statement that Sao Paulo\u2019s international airport \u201cis once again counting a high number of foreigners who arrive on flights of the airline LATAM and do not exit quickly due to the overload on the Brazilian migration system.\u201d    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph-primary-core-light\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm04h0hl3000b3b6kistovdxh@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            The prosecutors\u2019 office added that it will put pressure on airlines to give migrants some basic supplies as they wait for their concession of refuge. The term refers to an application for refugee status, regardless of the reason.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph-primary-core-light\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm04h0hl3000c3b6khmiu3hpl@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            LATAM did not immediately respond a request for comment from the AP.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph-primary-core-light\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm04h0hl3000d3b6kdtwmntym@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            \u201cIt is important that we quickly decide on these refuge requests so that the growing arrival of foreigners does not impact the operation of the airport itself,\u201d federal prosecutor Guilherme Rocha G\u00f6pfert said after a meeting at Sao Paulo\u2019s international airport on Wednesday.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph-primary-core-light\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm04h0hl3000e3b6keewai04q@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            One of the documents says Brazil\u2019s federal police received 9,082 requests for refuge this year through July 15.
